Huh. Third rapper I’ve picked for Music Monday, second Music Monday of that ilk that isn’t just one song. I guess I DO like rap music after all.
Adam WarRock is, in short, the balls. He is the Swaggest There Is. He’s recorded a Firefly mix tape, a Parks and Rec EP, a song called W*zards in Paris (That Shit Gray), and – a personal fave of mine, the X-Factor EP. If you’ve met me (at this point in my career, you haven’t, but please feel free to treat this as gospel), and the conversation turns to X-books, you’ll find out very quickly about my unabashed love for the X-Factor crew… but I digress. This isn’t a post about X-Factor. This is a post about Adam WarRock. And as I mentioned earlier, he is the balls.
His stuff is basically my swagger soundtrack these days. If I need a boost, I put him on. He raps about nerd culture, sure, but more importantly, he waves the DIY flag like nobody’s damn business, and he has the big swinging ones to make you think you can do it too. That’s why Adam WarRock is the Swaggest There Is. Enjoy, suckers.
Just heard The Browncoars mixtape. Because I’m a huge Firefly fan and a ifernd sent it to me thinking I would like it. Please kill yourself and don’t reproduce.
Does it have to be in that order?
As an attorney turend urban fantasy novelist, I salute you! We all need to save those hopelessly lost in the world of law and turn them to the creative side.
